IFM offers the following top level certifications:

EDUCATION

To be eligible for certification examination, all candidates must complete an IFM accredited education program at any IFM approved Education Providers that offer the certification course. In order to qualify for the certification examination, candidates are required to successfully finish an educational program. Candidates have the flexibility to choose from various education providers, but these providers must be approved by the IFM. Additionally, these education providers should offer the specific certification course that the candidates are interested in.

EXAMINATION

Once the candidates complete the education program, they can apply to take the Examination. This program is designed to provide them with the necessary knowledge and skills for the field associated with the certification. fter completing the education program, candidates are now eligible to apply for the certification examination. This means that they have met the prerequisite of undergoing the accredited education, and they are now in a position to demonstrate their understanding of the subject matter through the examination.

EXPERIENCE

All candidates for certification need to have at least 3 year work experience. Before they can qualify for the certification, they must have accumulated a minimum of three years of relevant work experience in the field associated with the certification. This work experience requirement is a common practice in many professional certifications, as it ensures that candidates have practical, hands-on experience in addition to theoretical knowledge.

ETHICS

All candidates for certification must agree to comply with the IFM’s Code of Ethics and Professional Standards of Practice that sets forth their ethical responsibilities to the public, clients and employers. Before being granted certification, candidates are required to commit to following a set of ethical principles and professional standards outlined by the IFM. This code of ethics and standards of practice is a set of guidelines that defines acceptable conduct and behavior for professionals in that field.
